Airport Connect Shuttle

Cairns Airport and Cairns Regional Council are pleased to announce that the Airport Connect Shuttle, to connect travelers to the Sunbus public network on Sheridan Street is to continue.    

The service operated by Sun Palm Transport, transports passengers between the Cairns Airport and a dedicated Sunbus public bus stop at the end of Airport Avenue near the corner of Arthur Street and Sheridan Street.  From 8th August 2015 there is a small, $4 fare one-way or $6 return.

  • Services to the airport are at 1/4 past the hour from 0415hrs to 2215hrs.
  • Services from the airport depart approximately every 30 minutes (subject to flight delays etc.) from 0430hrs until after the last flight.

Note:  Passengers may pre-book their Airport Connect journey outbound from Cairns Airport with Sun Palm Transport online or by phone.  Tickets can also be purchased on arrival at the Sun Palm Transport kiosk in the terminal.  The journey from the Cairns Community Health Centre on Sheridan Street is offered as a pre-booked service only.  Pre-bookings may be made 24-hours prior to journey time online or by phone.
