Council raises most of its revenue from rates levied against residential and commercial properties. This revenue funds more than 400 services and functions - from water and sewerage, to roads, parks, libraries and leisure facilities. Under the Local Government Act, numerous regulatory responsibilities are devolved to Council by the Queensland Government.
The 2017-2018 Differential General Rates were adopted at the Special (Budget) Meeting on 26 June 2017.
