Free, fun art and design workshops for all young people aged 12-25 years!

Join us in beautifying our local spaces as part of the Youth Urban Art Project. You will:

Cairns Youth Week Celebrations

Cairns Youth Week 2018, 6 to 15 April, celebrates the achievements, vitality and strength of our young residents aged 12 to 25.

Cairns Youth Week invites young people to get involved in an awesome program of activities that celebrate the strengths and talents of youth.

Youth can enjoy a fun, positive, inclusive and accessible program of events and activities to be involved in.

Keeping connected

Young people between the ages of 10 and 24 years make up almost 20 per cent of the Cairns population. That is more than 29,000 people or one in every five people in Cairns (Australian Bureau of Statistics, 2015).

Cairns Regional Council supports youth initiatives in the Cairns area through working with local service providers, community groups and young people.  Council is committed to meaningful engagement with the community to improve outcomes and the future of Cairns for young people.

Council encourages the voice of young people and representatives from local services to provide advice and ideas about how to make Cairns a great place for youth.
